I keep thinking that if Roeul didn't turn up, will Christine get together with Phantom for ever.
Maybe Christine will love Phantom because of her sympathism of his lonesome.
But could Phantom receive this kind of love?
From the movie, we could infer that Phantom is always abandoned because of his ugliness.
His self-respect couldn't be able to allow Christine to love him in this way.
The story ends on a tragedy. Not only for Phantom, but also Christine may be sorry to him after this.
